What is Medication Management?
What Is Psychiatric Medication Management?
Psychiatric medication management is an ongoing, collaborative process between you and your provider to find the right medication — at the right dose — to support your mental health goals. It's not a one-and-done prescription. It's a relationship.
At Sage Psychiatry, your care begins with a thorough psychiatric evaluation where we take the time to understand your full history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. From there, we work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication, therapy, or a combination of both.
We provide medication management for a wide range of conditions, including:
Anxiety (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder)
Depression (major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder)
Adult ADHD (including late-diagnosed women and adults)
Insomnia and sleep disorders
Mood disorders
Trauma-related conditions

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance for medication management in Chester County?
Sage Psychiatry is an out-of-network provider. We provide a superbill after each session, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many clients with out-of-network benefits receive partial or full reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurer before your first appointment.
Do I need a referral to see a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania?
No referral is needed. You can schedule directly with us through our online booking portal.
Is virtual psychiatric care as effective as in-person?
Yes. Research consistently shows that telepsychiatry produces outcomes comparable to in-person care for most mental health conditions. It also increases access, removes transportation barriers, and allows patients to attend appointments from a familiar, comfortable environment.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
We typically offer new patient appointments within one to two weeks; however you may reach out via text/call/email if needed sooner. Start by scheduling your free 15-minute consultation.
What ages do you treat?
We provide medication management for adolescents ages 12 and up, as well as adults of all ages.
