Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. We offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to help you determine if our practice is the right fit before scheduling a full evaluation.

  • We currently see patients located in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

  • Sage Psychiatry is an out-of-network provider. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. After your visit, we will provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, if your plan offers out-of-network benefits.

Being out of network means we do not have contracts with insurance companies that dictate how care must be delivered or what services can be provided. This allows us to focus fully on personalized, high-quality psychiatric care tailored to each patient’s needs rather than insurance limitations.

Many insurance plans reimburse a portion of the visit cost for out-of-network services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn more about your specific benefits.

  • Yes. If appropriate, medication may be recommended as part of a treatment plan. Medication decisions are individualized and carefully monitored during follow-up visits.

  • Yes. At Sage Psychiatry & Wellness, we provide both medication management and therapy services to support your mental health journey. Our therapy offerings include evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

We tailor sessions to each individual’s needs, whether the goal is managing symptoms of depression or anxiety, navigating life transitions, or building healthier relationships. For many people, combining therapy with medication leads to the best outcomes — but you can choose the path that feels right for you.
